My Sunday evening ??? making jam.
HOMEMADE GUAVA JAM
Ingredients
1.5lbs ripe or half ripe guavas
1cup brown sugar
Juice from one lime
Instructions
Dice guavas into small pieces and set to boil for 30 minutes.
Wash and sterilize your jar by boil it for about 5min and leaving it in hot water until ready to use. This also helps to prevent the jar from breaking when the hot product is poured into it.
Strain the boil guava to extract the juice ad pulp, discard the seeds.
Return to medium heat, add 1 cup sugar and lime juice and cook for about 45 to 50 minutes. Stir constantly to prevent the jam from sticking or burning.
When the consistency is thick pour your jam into your sterilized container. Do not full the container all the way to the top,the product will need space to expand.
Cool overnight an your jam is ready to be served ?
